Michael Lee “Yard Dog” DeGoey was born on September 3, 1972 in Knoxville Iowa.

Michael attended Knoxville High School and wrestled.

Michael was a Taxi Cab Driver in Knoxville and a flagman at the English Creek Speedway. He enjoyed racing all his life. His biggest enjoyment was his children.

Michael passed away on Friday, October 23, 2009 at the Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines at the age of 37 years, 1 month, and 20 days.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Those left to honor his memory include his children, Michael Cassidy, and Taylor and their mother Jami Sites; his mother, Kena Conrad of Knoxville; his father, Mark Conrad and Nancy of Lovilia; two brothers, Kenny DeGoey and John Conrad both of Knoxville; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
