Lucille E. Jones, 81, of Knoxville passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at the Knoxville Hospital and Clinics. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 30, 2009 at Williams Funeral Home. Burial followed at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville.

Lucille was born on April 30, 1928 in Madelia, Minnesota to James and Helda (Herlick) Reynolds. The family moved to Pleasantville when she was a young child. She attended school in Pleasantville and graduated from Pleasantville High School in 1946.

On August 15, 1948 she married Alfred Jones at the St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Pleasantville, IA. In 1963, she attended the Iowa School of Beauty in Des Moines. She owned and operated Lucille’s Beauty for 13 years in Knoxville.

She was active in local square dancing and had a love for motorcycle riding, boating & camping. She had also travelled to every state in the Union. She loved life and taught her family how to love it as well. She never knew a stranger and trusted everybody. Lucille was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Knoxville and she was baptized in the Methodist Church in Pleasantville.

She is survived by her husband Alfred of Knoxville, 3 sons, Michael and wife Faye of Blair, NE; Gregory and wife Judy of Indianola, IA; and Rodney and wife Jacqueline of Farmers City, Il. Seven grandchildren and their spouses, 9 great grandchildren, one sister, Marjorie Wards of Huntsville, AL.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother, Kenneth Reynolds.
