MRS. DELILAH ANN DARRAH

Delilah Ann Stoneking, daughter of Adam and Sarah Stoneking, was born June 2, 1847, at Wetzel county, Virginia, and was married to Solomon Darrah March 11, 1868.

To this union eight children were born, five daughters and three sons. Her husband, one son and four daughters preceded her in death. The three living children are: David of Russell, Milo of Knoxville and Mrs. Guy Morehead of Newton. One brother, David Stoneking of Knoxville, one sister, Mary Robison of Des Moines, fourteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive her.

She came to Iowa with her parents when quite young and settled in Lucas county. She moved to Knoxville in the year 1886. She became a Christian at an early age and has lived a true Christian life. She read her Bible daily. She departed this life Jan. 9, 1929, at her home in Knoxville. Besides her relatives, she leaves a host of friends to mourn her death.

Funeral services were held at the home in north Knoxville last Friday. Interment in the cemetery south of Columbia Sunday afternoon.
