Lawrence J. Garden, aged 57 years, 4 months and 18 days, died at his home six miles east of Bussey at 3:40 o’clock Sunday afternoon, April 26, 1936 from a stroke of apoplexy. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Zoe Garden of Jefferson township; two sons, Archie and Merrill of Centerville; three brothers – Clark of Mt. Pleasant; Frank of What Cheer; and Erastus of Tracy; and one sister, Mrs. Lena Phillips of Tracy.
Funeral services were at the Coal Creek church in Jefferson township at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon. Burial in the Coal Creek cemetery.
