Mrs. Susan Aubrey, wife of George B. Aubrey, one of the old settlers of this vicinity, died at her home two and a half miles south of Knoxville on Wednesday morning August 1, 1917, aged 79 years, 8 months, 20 days.
The maiden name of deceased was Susan Goodey. She was born near Greensburg, Indiana, September 8, 1837 and was united in marriage with George B. Aubrey in this county 47 years ago.
In her death she leaves her husband, one daughter, Mrs. C. L. Percival of Des Moines; one brother, Marion Wagoner of Belville, Ill.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The funeral services were held at the Adventist church in this city last Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Ostrander of Des Moines. Burial in Graceland cemetery.
