Funeral services for Loren P. Riggs, 50, under the direction of the Miley funeral home, were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Newbern church. Burial was made in the Newbern cemetery.
Riggs, a former resident of Newbern, died at Omaha, Nebr., where he had lived the past twenty-five years.
Survivors include his widow, a son and a daughter, two sisters, Mrs. Clyde Gardiner and Mrs. Gerald Hunnerdosse and two brothers, Grant and Lloyd Riggs, all of Chariton. – Chariton Leader
