The truth of the old saying that “death leaves the shinning mark,” and that “angels born on earth are soon transplanted in heaven,” is sorrowfully illustrated in the sad death of little Robert Glenn Kirton. The bright baby son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff. Kirton, of Dallas township, who passed away on Friday evening, January 5, 1906, after a sickness of nearly nine weeks. The cause of death was an abscess upon the neck.
The parents reside in the German neighborhood five miles west of the town of Dallas. Little Robert was born there July 24, 1905, and was aged only five months and 13 days at the time he was called from earth. However, during the short life of the little one he had become such a treasure to his parents that they are almost heart broken with the thought that he is gone forever. But there is consolation in the thought that He has said: “Suffer little children to come unto me.” The funeral services were held at the German church near the Kirton home on Sunday at 2 p.m. conducted by Rev. Heinke. Interment in the cemetery nearby.
Mr. and Mrs. John Dougal, of Flagler are grandparents of the deceased.
