Velma Rose Shaffer, infant daughter of Clifton and Velma Shaffer, was born on Sunday, Sept. 17, 1944 at Collins Memorial Hospital and died the same day.
Besides her parents, she leaves the following: 5 brothers, Larry, Lowell, Lyle, Leslie and Robert, also two grandfathers, John Wesley Young and John Shaffer and one grandmother, Mrs. Rachel Shaffer, with other relatives and friends of the family.
Funeral services were held at the Bybee-Davis Funeral Home, Friday, Sept. 22, 1944, at 10:00 a.m., conducted by the Rev. John F. Rex, pastor of the Methodist church. Burial was made at Hartford, Ia.
