Death of Mrs. Cooper

Mrs. Miles W. Cooper, mother of W. A. Cooper, died last Thursday night at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Cora Long. She had been in excellent health and spirits and her pre-sickness of 24 hours was not considered serious. She passed away peacefully in her 80th year.

The remains were brought into town Saturday, and the funeral held at the W. A. Cooper house Sunday at 2 p. m., Rev. Dennis preaching the sermon. Many friends will mourn the departure from Earth of this lovable old lady.

Fannie Maria Scott was born in New York City Feb. 13, 1829. She was united in marriage to Miles W. Cooper in Wyoming county, New York, Sept. 30, 1849. To this union six children were born: Robert E. Cooper of Santiago, Cal.; William A. Cooper of Stockton, Kan.; Elmer S. Cooper of Island Point, Vt.; and Mrs. Carrie V. Browning of Beeler, Kan.; two children having died in infancy. Besides she leaves two sisters and two brothers.
