IVAN REED
LAKELAND, FLORIDA

Ivan Reed, 71, of Lakeland, a former Des Moines resident, died of cancer, Monday in Lakeland. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Resthaven Mausoleum in West Des Moines. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery.

Mr. Reed was born in Osceola, Iowa and had lived in Des Moines and St. Charles. He was retired from Sherwin Williams Lowe Brothers Paint Co. and previously owned the Lowe Brothers Paint Store, both in Des Moines.

Survivors include his wife, Maxine, a son Ivan F., of Lincoln, Nebraska, his mother, Jessie Reed of Tampa, Florida, a brother, Jack of Tampa, Florida; two sisters, Marie Fuggite of Cleveland, Ohio, and Gene Shirley of Utica, Illinois, and two grandchildren.

Friends may call after noon Thursday at Resthaven Mausoleum. Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe is handling arrangements.
