Keith Roland Olson, 71, left his earthy body Monday, November 27, 2023 at UFHealth Hospital in Leesburg, Florida. He was born on March 10, 1952 in Winterset, Iowa and lived his childhood in Winterset. Keith was a 1970 graduate of Winterset High School and served in the United State Navy from September 1, 1970 to April 19, 1976.

He served his stellar career for the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta, Georgia, while continuing to entertain and enjoy all those he knew with his banjo strumming and ever present fun and antics.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Lowell "Ole" Olson and Velma (Mikkleson) Olson and sister Claudia (Olson) Cobett. He is survived by the love of his life, Cida Olson; son, Kenneth; brother Jim Olson, and sister, Karla (Olson) Haynes.

Memorial services for Keith are planned for this spring, 2024, in Winterset.
