Items of Early History From the Old Files of The Madisonian Forty Years Ago (June 7, 1882)

On Thursday at noon, the tolling of the court house bell announced that another soul had departed to eternity. Inquiry elicited the fact that Mrs. Odell, at the age of 83 years, had departed this life. She came with her husband to Winterset in 1854, where she has ever since resided.
