Camille was born on February 23, 1938 to Evans and Marian Campbell at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. She grew up in Des Moines and attended Tech High School graduating with the class of 1956. She lived in Des Moines most of her early life where she worked as a bookkeeper, then she moved to Trenton, Missouri for 12 years. While in Trenton, she worked many years at Wright Memorial Hospital and was an active member of the Edinburg Baptist Church. Camille later worked at Cutty’s Campground. In retirement, she worked with the babies at the daycare in Earlham. Camille later moved to St. Joseph, Missouri to be closer to family.

Camille enjoyed spending time with her family and friends at Lake Viking, camping, reading, HGTV and making the best taco salad and chocolate chip cookies. She wintered many years in Florida and loved visiting Walt Disney World numerous times, the ocean and sea-life, especially dolphins. Most of all she treasured time she was able to spend with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her special four-legged friend, Lucy.
