Charles Arthur Higgs was born in Muscatine, Iowa, September 24, 1858 and died at Ocean Park, California, March 27, 1925, at the age of 66 years and 6 months.
He was married to Martha Slavis, daughter of J. R. Slavis, in the year 1887, who is still living. To this union were born four children, Maude, Mable, Jennie and Ervin. All but Mable survive him.
Mr. Higgs spent the most of his life in Iowa. In the year 1903 he moved to Red Deer, Alberta, Canada, where he lived for seventeen years. In the fall of 1919 he moved, with his wife, Jennie, to California, where he lived till the time of his death. He will be greatly missed by relatives and friends.
