Wapello, May 20- The funeral of John Huff was held at the M. E. church this afternoon and many of his friends came to pay their last respects. Rev. T. S. Pool officiated, assisted by Rev. Mullen of Columbus City. John Huff was born at Oyster Point, Pennsylvania, August 18, 1828. In 1851 the family moved west and settled near Grandview, this county. He learned the trade of wagon maker in his father's shop, and was a practical mechanic. He was united in marriage with Miss Cynthia Robbins, August 25, 1851. Two daughters were born to them, one of whom is living, Mrs. J. E. Saunders of St. Joseph, Mo. at whose home Mr. Huff died.
