Page 8Goose Creek, February 27- Mrs. John Fischer died February 22, 1899, at 6 o'clock in St. Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Mrs. Fischer's maiden name was Loeffel. She was born in Worben, Switzerland, July 12, 1853, and was married to John Fischer, February 8, 1874.
To this union were born eleven children, nine of whom survive her. Two, Mable and Edna, died January 1, 1893. The others are Mrs. A. R. Kahler of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and John, Alfred, Albert, Mary, Celia, Alice, Katie and Charlie, who are all at home. The remains were brought to her home Thursday and were laid to rest in the cemetery at Bethel Saturday afternoon. Services were conducted by Rev. Watts of Columbus City.
