Mrs Mary Ryner (nee Smith) was born September 13, 1843 and died near Grandview, Iowa, February 25, 1899, cause consumption. She was baptized Sept. 24, 1843 and confirmed in the German Lutheran church in 1861. Her age at death was 54 years, 5 months and 12 days. She was a faithful wife, a devoted mother and an exemplary woman whom others learned to love and respect. She leaves a bereaved husband, 6 children, and grandchildren and others to mourn her departure. Funeral services at the house, February 27, 1899, by the writer, in German and English. Chas. S. Lang
