Orono, February 21- The venerable Mrs. Westerman succumbed to that dread disease, consumption, on the morning of February 15, 1899, after a long and painful illness. She was a native of the Netherlands and was born in 1834. She was married in 1857 in her native land to Mr. Henry Westerman. Of this union five children were born, four of them dying in infancy. She is survived by her husband and son, Louis Westerman, and family. She was a member of the Reformed church and the funeral services were conducted there by her pastor, Rev. D. H. Fouse, on Friday afternoon, February 17, and the mortal remains were deposited in the cold and silent home, there to wait the resurrection of the dead.
