Bard, November 22 - Mrs. Barkoff, an old resident of this place, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Nancy Young, of Wapello. Mrs. Barkoff had been sick but was not considered dangerous and died quite suddenly in her daughter's arms. She was a neighbor, a loving, patient mother, having raised a large family in our neighborhood. The dear mother is now at rest. She is through with all worry and care. Her funeral was from the German M. E. church at Wapello, conducted by Rev. Simons. She was a devout member of that denomination. her remains were laid to rest in the Wapello cemetery.
