Alice Shiek Zimmerman was born June 25, 1867, and died at her home in Grandview, August 7, 1898. In September, last year, she was married to Charles Zimmerman. She leaves a husband, a little son, a mother and three brothers to mourn her early death. The funeral occurred from the Methodist church, August 8, services conducted by Rev. Pool of Wapello. The mortal part was laid to rest beside father and a brother in the Grandview Cemetery, there to await the resurrection morn. For several years she had been the organist at the Methodist church, of which she was long a faithful member and where she will be greatly missed.
