Death of Mrs. Carr.

Louvina Morgan was born April 30, 1829 in Chautauqua county, New York. Died at Columbus Junction, Iowa, May 15, 1898. At an early age she came with her parents to Illinois where in 1856 she was married to H. B. Carr. Soon after their marriage they located at Riverside, Iowa, and lived in that vicinity until 1871 when they moved south of Columbus City and later to Columbus Junction.

The funeral was held in the Methodist church, Riverside, Monday morning at 11 o'clock, conducted by Rev. D. H. Fouse, assisted by Revs. Harper and Smith. Mrs. Carr was a lifelong member of the Baptist church and faithful Christian. She lost her husband something over three years ago.

Her sister, Mrs. Esther Waffigal, of Acheson, Kansas, was here at the time of her death, having come in on Thursday. Another sister and niece from Chicago were here and a son from Allerton, Iowa. At large number of old-time friends attended the funeral at Riverside. She leaves three children, a brother and two sisters.
