Mary Zeckermeier was born December 25, 1816, in the province on Minden, German Empire, and died at he home of her only child, Frederick Rahmiller, April 2, 1898, being something over 81 years of age.

In 1839 she was married to Fredrick Rahmiller of Minden. With him she emigrated to America in 1846, landing at Baltimore. They afterwards lived a short time in Little York, Pennsylvania, coming later to Columbus City. Mr. Rahmiller died in 1859. To them three children had been born, only one of whom survives the mother.

In 1863 she was married to Conrad Gabriel, who died a few years since.

The funeral was held at the U. B. church, Columbus City, Monday, April 4, conducted by Rev. J. C. Light.
