Beulah A. White was born in Union county, Indiana, April 28, 1833. She was united in marriage to W. Flint, February 17, 1858. Her husband died December 31, 1869. She was married to Isaac Welch, September 1, 1869. She died at her home, Columbus Junction, March 5, 1898, aged 64 years, 10 month and 7 days.

Very young in life she became a Christian becoming a member of the United Brethren church. She will be greatly missed in the church and a large circle of friends, to whom she had endeared herself by her many excellent qualities and gentle manner. During the past year she has been a great sufferer, scarcely knowing an hour of perfect rest. Her husband and daughter, Jessie, cared for her most tenderly, never relaxing in their faithful vigils. Rev. W. S. Knight very fittingly remarked that to know her was enough. No further proof of a perfect Christian life was needed to bring us a realizing sense of a higher power. Brother Welch and Miss Jessie have the sympathy of the entire community in this at heir deep affliction. The funeral services, conducted by the pastor, rev. W. S. Knight, assisted by Rev. M. J. Pusey, of Mediapolis, and Rev. D. H. Fouse, were held at the church, Tuesday Morning, march 8 after which the remains were taken to the Boston grave yard and laid beside her mother and other relatives.
