Jonas Miller was born in St. Louis county, Missouri, May 4, 1840 and died at Wapello, Iowa, February 19, 1898, aged 57 years, 9 months and 15 days. He leaves a widow and seven children and a wide circle of friends to mourn his demise. He was a prominent citizen of the county for many years and a scrupulously honest man. He was a most worthy and consistent member of the Presbyterian church of Wapello and a member of the board of trustees. He will be sadly missed by all. The funeral obsequies took place from the Presbyterian church last Tuesday, conducted by Rev. T. N. Buchanan.
