MT. PLEASANT - Alvin Sperfslage, 66, Rt., 1, died at his home at 2:15 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, of natural causes.
The son of Henry and Elisa Eickhoff Sperfslage, he was born April 23, 1913, at Sperry. He married Helen Bauer Feb. 25, 1938, in Cedar Rapids.
He was a farmer, an employee of the Burlington Northern Railroad and a member of Oakland Mills Community church.
Surviving: The wife; two sons, Kermit, Mt. Pleasant Rt. 1, and Dr. Arnold, Burlington; four grandchildren; brother, Arthur, Sperry; and six sisters, Dorothy Lehmann, Waynesboro, Va., Elsie Hellenthal, West Liberty, Ann Cummings, Winfield, Frieda Dameron, New London, Helen Walker, Mt. Pleasant, and Marie Hoffer, Sperry.
Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Lunning Chapel, Burlington, Rev. James Sheckler; Greenwood cemetery.
