pre 1857 Linn Co. land records

Hello,

Where can I find early Linn County land records?

According to information at the Linn County Recorder's office, Henry SCHOONOVER sold 40 acres of land in section 10 of Linn County on 30 Mar 1863 (recorded 19 Mar 1878). Andrew J. SCHOONOVER, a son of Henry, was in Linn County about 1852 (according to a biography).

I would like to check pre 1860 land records to see exactly when these men first owned land in Linn County.
