Search for information on Boone family from Linn County, Pa

I am searching for the family tree of my great great grandfather Edward McClelland Boone. He was born on December 17, 1868 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Father name unknown Boone b. in Iowa and his mother name was Mary married last name Boone (last name before married unknown) she was born in Pennsylvania. He was raised by his mother in Centre County, Pennsylvania. On the marriage certificate said that Edward's mother name was Mary Boone and father name was left blank.

I have this family tree brick wall for many yeas and have no luck.... thanks Jenny (Boone) Roberts
