Looking for information relating to my husband's grandfather, Dr. Stephen RIESS. According to an article I found in The Coe Cosmos dated 17 May 1944, he came to Cedar Rapids in August, 1943, was a resident at Mercy Hospital and served the 3059th (a military detachment?). We have reason to believe hew was joined by his wife Emmy in 1948. We are looking for any other information as to what became of him/her in Cedar Rapids. Did he/she die and was he/she buried there? If so, when and where?
