Hi Karyl - I haven't been down the rabbit hole on this family for awhile but unfortunately yours are not 'my' Bissells. Near as I was able track since my original post, my Loraine (several different spellings) was born in NY in 1834. daughter of Daniel Johnson and Lucinda Blinn Bissell. She had a sister, Hulda, who married John McQueen; both Hulda and. John are buried in Riverside Cemetery, Anamosa Iowa. Loraine married William Hamilton in Medina, Ohio in 1853/54, died in 1909, and is likely buried in Pond Creek Cemetery, Pond Creek Oklahoma. He's likely buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Newville, Dekalb, Indiana. I've not yet figured out why they ended up where they did.

William and Loraine would have been the parents of my GG grandmother. Jennie Sally Hamilton Ireland. Jennie's daughter (my great grandmother) Viola named her daughter (my grandmother) Hulda. It's not exactly a common name so seems to fit together!
