DK ... as a volunteer I started the Facebook page I referenced many years ago after a national model. I had no idea it would have the 1000+ members it does today. The information posted on it and in the files falls into 2 categories. Q&A re: Jones County family surnames people are working on AND information I post on genealogy classes, resources, etc. to educate those in the group.
With regards to the surname searches, there is an index and I encourage everyone to list the surnames they are researching and their contact info. I don't see the Stivers name listed and when I search the page, I don't see anyone asking for that surname either. If you'd like I can repost a query there for you with the contact information you provide ,,, just let me know.
With regards to the more general interest info. that I post, it comes from any number of sites that offer resources and classes on the internet.
One last note, The Jones County Genealogy center is housed at the Anamosa Library and here is their information:

I did see a book in their catalog named THE STIVERS OF EAST TENNESSEE AND ALLIED FAMILIES by Dorothy Stivers Brown and Forest David Brown of Lewisburg, PA. It's Vol. II - The Stivers in the Ball-Stivers Line. Not sure if this would be helpful or not.
I hope I've answered your question and if not, please email me direct at HoagDusters@gmail.com and reference this post on the Iowa GenWeb Query Board.
Kindest Regards,
Jan
