Thank you for your post. This page has a Temporary County Coordinator who serves as a volunteer.

Are you applying to a genealogy society? If so, what records are you needing I.E. birth, death, marriage? If you could provide names, dates and locations in Jones County (city, township, etc.) that would be helpful if we need to send copies of records.
You can access a great deal of information at the Anamosa Library where county genealogy records are kept, including microfiche records. They charge .25 a page for black and white copies and .50 a page for color.

If you are looking for anecdotal information (newspaper clips, photos etc.), here's the link to the Jones County Newspaper Archives where you can search for that surname and find articles:
