If by chance the cemetery was in "Charlotte" township and all they listed was a town she was buried rather than cemetery name (not unusual), there are 3 near by that shows up on a plot map at the Clinton County GenWeb site...

Assumption Catholic (in Charlotte), Clinton County Farm, and Rossiter. Out of the three, only Rossiter has any Adams in it and several. It is shown to be in Washington township. You may want to give their cemetery section a looking over.
