In Response To: Cemetery Location (Nancy Coming)

The LDS shows her death in 1879 but doesn't say where. She was born in Portage, St. Joseph Co., IN and her parents died in Trenton, Hitchcock Co., Nebraska. Many times offspring are buried with the parents in a family plot but not always. Her mother was a Mead(e) and there are several in the Mayflower cemetery.

She married Alexander Stevenson 1874 in Anamosa.

Another hint would be that the 1880 census shows Alexander living with his deceased wife's family in Marshall, Taylor Co., IA. This would be a few months after her death.

In 1885 Alexander is in Monticello with a new wife with a Christian Metzenburg living there with them. Oakwood is in Monticello but not online so possibly she is buried there but since he is with the Holston's in 1880, I would suggest looking in Taylor County first.
