Your family appears to be quite elusive. I haven't been able to track them down on the 1880 census? The closest match was a Hattie Davis (born c.1842 OH) married but husband not at home showing children Josie Davis (born c.1867 IA), Charles (born c.1871 IA), Alice (born c.1872 IA), and Ira (born c.1875 IL) - all living in Garden Plain, Whiteside, Illinois. Census have been known to be off. Have not been able to find a Jackson or J.K. Davis within that birth year range nor Hattie, Josie - under any name but did find her future Cameron husband in Montana, or any of the others. It could be you have the years off on some but did see your Josie on the California Death Index. You have a task in front of you!
