Michael Boyle family

BOYLE, ROSS, BENWAY, WILCOX AND NIVISON

Searching for anyone with connections to the Michael Boyle family in Fairview Township of Jones County, Iowa.

Michael and Mary arrived in Fairview around 1870, traveling from Tompkins County, New York. They brought 4 of their 10 children along. The census states: Michael-48, Mary-47, James-21, (all born in Ireland) Richard-18, Mary-10, and Elizabeth-8 (born in New York).

Mary-48 died in before 1880, as Michael remarried Eliza Benway.

James may have married a Sarah.

Richard married Jennie Edwards and then a Melissa.
His children are Charlie, Freddie, Arthur, and Martha.

Mary J. married Fred Wilcox and moved to Jefferson, Iowa. Her children were Elizabeth, Luella and Frederic.

Elizabeth married Archibald Ross and continued to live in the Fairview area. Both are buried at the Wilcox cemetery in Viola with 6 of their 10 children.

Michael and Mary had 6 other children. They are: Margaret, Ann (married Nivison and moved to Michigan), Ellen, John, Michael, and Charles, who stayed in Tompkins Twp, New York.
