Yes, of course. I should have been clearer. The Strauss Brothers had a dry goods store on Main Street, called, appropriately, "Strauss Brothers", starting back around 1860. There is a photo of this store on the Jones County website - which I was thrilled to find. The family was from Baden, Germany. Names connected with that family are: Sigmund, born. c, 1831; Simon, born c. 1830; Solomon; Abraham, born c. 1863 and wife, Flora; Sophia; Matilda, and Morris. The store was operating in Jones Co. until the late 1800's. Just wondering if any of the family remained. Thanks.
