I am looking for information on the Shimerda family. I have read the bio on Anthony Shimerda and it states that he had another sibling. I am wondering if he might have had a sister named Francis who immigrated with him to Iowa. I have a Francis Shemeda (spelling never known as she could not read or write) who married my great-great grandfather John J. Waters in 1855. They supposedly married in Jackson County but they were on the Jones County 1856 and 1858 state census records. I cannot find any record of the marriage either. John J.'s parents were Nathan I. and Jemina Waters who came from Maryland around 1850. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
