Seasons greetings Rudolf, Can't solve your problems but can add a bit to your quest. I followed the John Stutt family from 1870 to 1900 on the federal and Iowa state census records (1885 & 1895). I could not find an eighth child so if the 1900 enumeration is correct, my guess is the child was either still born or was born & died between any of these census records. Meta Stutt was born circa 1876 and married a Henry R. Folkers prior to the 1900 census. The 1925 Iowa state census is unique in that it contains parental information, (when known), for all enumerated. On the 1925 Wayne twp, Jones co., Meta is married to Henry R. but enumerated and indexed as Engel R. Folkers. Her parents are indicated as John Stutt and Grace M. HARNS. Dick
