OVERLY FAMILY

HARMON, WHITECOTTON, BYRD, WOLFORD

My husband's gg-grandmother was one Martha Jane Overly Harmon. She married Richard Milton Harmon on 6/6/1847 in Indiana Territory. She had only one child, Jacob C. Harmon, born in Marion County, IN on 4/23/1848. She then seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth. Jacob's father went on West, first to Mt. Carroll, IL, where he remarried to Emily Jane Garr, then on to MO. Jacob runs off and joins the Union Army in CO. Once Jacob leaves the Army, he travels to Jones County, IA, where he states he visited with "his mother's people". Does anyone out there have a Martha Jane Overly Harmon in their Overly history?
