For some time, there seemed to have been an old cemetery transcription for Wilcox that showed the Jacobs family headstones but they don't seem to be physically there? Since then I had a brick wall and now have some info hoping others will be able to help finish this off...
Lewis A. Jacobs, born 1859 in Lamoille Co., Vermont married in Anamosa 1885 to Livinia Denio born 1869 NY. They had children:
Arthur James Jacobs (1887-1971); Orval / Orville Leo Jacobs (1893-???); Walter Jacobs (c.1898-????); Rosina Jacobs (c.1905-???).
From what we have seen, Livinia was in the Linn County Home by 1910 and the younger children sent to St. Francis Orphanage in Dubuque. Livinia died between 1915-1925, Arthur and Lewis moved to Blue Earth Co., MN by 1930 where Lewis died in 1940, and Rosina married Edward John Brundidge (1873-1954) in 1932 in Anamosa. It was said they are buried at Holy Cross Cemetery but no listing for them? Did Rosina remarry?
Also, can't find Orval/Orville after 1920 when he and his brother Walter were living together at Springville, Linn Co.
Again, I seemed to remember that all had headstones in Wilcox and possibly only initials for their first name and years born on them but no death dates? That database was around when GenWeb was getting off the ground but disappeared?
Any help would be appreciated!
Oh, also Lewis was living as a lodger in a relative's household during the 1930 census with Edward and Malena Michels. Malena was also born a Denio
