I found your Helen.

She died June 2, 1956 in Kansas City, MO
Death Cert # 20729

Shows her as Helen E. South
lived in KC 32 years. Born July 20, 1901 in Center Junction, IA to William Stingley and Emogene Preston. Married to Bennie Allen South (was informant so still living in 1956). Her social was 500-12-1855 and died of heart disease. She is buried at Forest Hill Cem., Kansas City, MO. A copy of her certificate is online.
