Since Judy and I are communicating off this board, I would just like to say for readers of this board that I am a LEVSEN descendent and have some basic information about the family. The Edlef LEVSEN family reportedly emigrated from Hattstedt, Germany to Iowa in 1869 and in 1876 moved to a farm two miles south of Wyoming. The children married into the following families: PAULSEN (Anna) who married Hans LEVSEN, THOMSEN (Johanna) who married August LEVSEN, JANSEN (Johannes) who married Martha E. LEVSEN, RICK (Louisa H.) who married Peter Christian LEVSEN, and HOLUB (John) who married Elsabe Friderike LEVSEN. This information is from family records. Some descendents are still living in Jones County but others have scattered all over the country. Members of the LEVSEN family who stayed in Germany married into LORENZEN, BRODERSEN and PETERSEN families. Sue
