I suspected that Cynthia DeLong was a cousin visit
ing the Lightfoots. Overly was Isabel's maiden
name, but I don't have proof at hand to say which
DeLong family she was related to. They would have to be from Kentucky and Indiana. Anyhow, John, and Isabel came to Iowa from Kentucky with a few years in Indiana. On 1870 census: John 33, Isabel
29 & their children were: John R. 23, Charles
Baily 21,Thomas Henry 19, Edward J. 17, Lafayette
13, Samuel 8, and Emerson 4. Their daughter
Cynthia was 16 at the time and obviously not at home at the time of the census.
