Are you sure they had a son named Russell or just going by what someone hooked up to a tree on RootsWeb?

I only see one daughter named Grace Maurine Knittle born c.1904 and was still the only child listed in the 1920 census when Edgar was 45 and Elizabeth was 42.

Maybe Russell was an infant child death and fell between census? Yet, Dr. Knittle's biography of 1910 doesn't mention any other children past or present. Usually biographies of that time usually did list infant children who passed especially if they were named.
