Jamie Wilson, 39, of Lone Tree and formerly of Iowa City, passed away on August 12, 2024 at the University of Iowa Hospital due to injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident that occurred on August 3, 2024.

An informal open house will be held from 12-3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at the Iowa City American Legion Post #17 (3016 Muscatine Avenue.) Jamie was born on January 30, 1985 in Iowa City to Steve and Jean (Carson) Wilson. After graduating from City High in 2003, Jamie attended the University of Iowa where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree.

Jamie spent her entire career with Hy-Vee grocery store, starting in high school. She worked in many departments and filled many roles until working her way up to manager for the convenient store since 2017.

Jamie’s most treasured joy was her nine-year-old daughter, Jocelynn. Time and memories spent with Jocelyn were cherished and held dear to her heart. Aside from spending time with her family and friends, Jamie enjoyed boxer dogs, working part-time at the Old 218 Tap in Hills; where she could catch up with the locals and was also an avid Iowa Hawkeye Women’s basketball fan (think Caitlin Clark!)

Jamie is survived by her parents: Steve and Jean; daughter, Jocelynn Morgan; Jocelynn’s father, Caleb Morgan; brother, Andy (Annie) Wilson; niece and nephew: Avery and Brody Wilson; beloved dog, Oakley as well as her maternal grandmother, Shirley Carson and many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents; maternal grandfather and her aunt, Judy Fleming.
