Funeral services for Boyd Stahle, 74, Solon, were held Friday, July 29 at Brosh Funeral Home in Solon, with the Rev. Dennis Tevis officiating. Burial was in the Oakland cemetery near Solon.

Mr. Stahle died July 27 at the Solon Care Center after a short illness.

He was born April 28, 1908 in North Liberty to William and Haddie Brogan Stahle. He was a life resident of Johnson and Cedar counties. He spent 14 years at the home of his sister, Ida Moreland, Tipton and in Johnson county he farmed before becoming a carpenter.

He married Nancy Gooken, who died in 1950 and he married Gladys Louvar Koss Nov. 30, 1969 in Solon.

He is survived by his wife, 4 step-daughters, Mrs. Lyle Cooling and Mrs. Dallas Cooling, Solon; Mrs. Gary Kuch, Marengo and Mrs. Richard Jacobsen, San Diego, CA; 13 grandchildren; a sister, Ida Moreland, Tipton and 2 brothers, Wayne Stahle, Cedar Rapids and Emmery Stahle, Rinard.
