Funeral services for Joyce V. Laughlin, 44, Coralville, a former West Branch area resident, were held at Iowa City Feb. 13 with the Rev. Leon White officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens, Iowa City. Mrs. Laughlin died at University hospitals, Feb. 11.

The daughter of David and Nina Wagner VanAtta, she was born in Muscatine April 8, 1937 and graduated from Springdale high school in 1955. She was the assistant public relations officer at the Federal Center in Battle Creek, Mich.

She married Thomas Laughlin June 23, 1970 at Norfolk, Va. She was a member of the Pennfield Presbyterian church in Battle Creek.

Survivors include her mother, Nina Dlough, Coralville and 2 sisters, Judy Pollock, Des Moines and Donna Poggenpohl, Iowa City. She was preceded in death by her husband and her father.
