James Brian (JB) Nelson, 31 of Chicago, IL, died in 2010, while hiking in Colorado. Visitation will be at James's family home (1234 Dover Street in Iowa City, Iowa), Friday, July 20 from 3 p.m.to 6 p.m., funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2012, Our Redeemer Lutheran Church (2301 East Court Street in Iowa City). Interment will be held Sunday, July 22, 2012 at 1 p.m., in the Highland Township Cemetery in Churdan, Iowa.

James is survived by his mother, Catherine Young Nelson of Iowa City, sister, Christy Waters of West Branch, grandfather, Duane Young of Jefferson, Iowa, only niece, Lillian Waters of West Branch, his father, James (Laraine) of Estes Park, CO, and many aunts, uncles.
