James E. “Jim” Brechler, age 65 of Mt. Vernon, Ohio, longtime resident of Clear Lake died Saturday, August 21, 2004 at the home of his daughter in Coralville, Iowa following an apparent heart attack.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 27, 2004 at the Mallard Catholic Church in Mallard, Iowa. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Jim was born July 21, 1939 in Mallard, Iowa the son of Harold and Mary (Kendall) Brechler. He enlisted in the United States Navy following high school. Jim married to Margaret Yvonne Schupfer. They resided in Clear Lake for most of their lives where Jim was associated with H&H Distribution. In 2002, they moved to Mt. Vernon, Ohio to be near their son, David. Yvonne died July 17, 2003.

His family includes a son, David of Mt. Vernon, OH; daughter and her husband, Mary and Chris Paulson of Coralville; brother and his wife, Ron and Vickie Brechler of Mt. Vernon, OH and many nieces and nephews.
