Jean S. Murphy, 91 formerly of Iowa City died Friday, May 28, 2004 at Crestview Nursing and Rehab. Center after a short illness. At her request there will be no services.

Jean was born June 20, 1913 near Okoboji, Iowa, the daughter of Dr. T.C. Stephens and Eliner (Reid) Stephens. She married Nicholas T. Murphy on September 17, 1941 in New York.

She is survived by her husband and niece and nephews.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents and her brother.
